I bet you could get by with fewer scallions though. 1 bushel should work fine.

I like scalions. A lot.
Broiling sounds good, but have you tried baking the salmon on a cedar plank. I bet that would be pretty tasty too.
I haven't tried that at home but I've had it in restaurants many times. That and alder. I'd love to build a smoker sometime and really experiment.
